When I compare Fitmotion to my previous experiences working out at the gym and on my own, there is no comparison at all! I could not get started on my own. For me, working out at a gym on my own would be absolutely useless. I would always go straight for the cardio and never do the weights on my own because I don't know what to do or how to do it properly. Also, I kept telling myself that I would go to a gym when I got in shape first ... I know that sounds crazy, but I know so many other people who say that too. And, with that thought process, you know going to the gym would never happen!

The importance of making the commitment to work out three times a week is a challenge for me. However, Fitmotion works with me and my schedule to find the time. I really appreciate this so very much! All of the trainers that I have worked with at Fitmotion are very professional and they really do care about you and want to help you reach your goal. They have helped me the most by motivating me to exercise at least 3 times a week and I learned the importance of doing nutrition, cardio and weight training in a structured program to get results.

So far, I have lost 20 lbs., and I can really see the change in my physical shape. My clothes fit much better and I am happier that I look and feel better. My overall mood has improved and I feel much better about myself. If you need to lose weight and get in shape, Fitmotion is definitely the place to start. Without the one-on-one private training, I would never have gotten started. This was my last resort, and I needed someone to push me, but also to be right there by my side during my training. Congratulations to Kim for earning Client of the Month Award! Kim has done an outstanding job on her nutrition and fitness program.  Kim has a very busy schedule; she catches an early morning van pool to work and gets back late in the evening, but she still makes it a priority to come in three times a week to train and do her cardio exercise. Kim is faithful in keeping her food journal, gaining a great knowledge of how important nutrition is to her success in reaching her goals. Kim has a positive outlook on life and never lets her hectic work schedule or other life road-blocks get in the way of her training and reaching her goals. She always comes in with a good attitude and a big smile on her face. Now that Kim is healthier and full of energy, she goes line dancing at least once a week with family and friends. This has been such a great experience. For years, I said that I just don’t like working out. That was true, because I never gave it a chance and didn’t have the support to get through the start-up stages. They say it takes 21 days to form a habit. Well after 90 days, I am feeling great and now have the fitness habit.

On my 58th birthday, I decided to stop making excuses and found Fitmotion during an on-line search for personal trainers. I knew that I needed an appointment and to have someone working exclusively with me to insure I would be doing it right to avoid injury or aggravating some existing shoulder and hip issues. I also needed to keep things new and exciting.

I have been so happy with the whole experience. The trainers are all amazing people with positive attitudes, spirits and encouragement. There has been a lot of variety in the work out routines yet still working toward the goal. I wanted to be stronger, slimmer and healthier. I am achieving all 3 by losing 14 lbs, losing 2 pants sizes and having improved aerobic capacity and I can even do more pushups than when I was 18! I go for my annual physical in a couple of weeks and expect my Dr. to be pleased and I expect my cholesterol and other tests to be improved.

The positive results keep me motivated and the wonderful trainers and pleasant atmosphere keep me coming back. I will be signing up again for another 36 weeks to reach my ultimate goal and to establish a maintenance routine for the future.

Don’t wait, “Just Do It” as they say at Nike. You will be so surprised at what you can achieve and that in itself will keep you motivated to do more.

Since I started my personal training at Fitmotion, I've learned how to exercise correctly, but most important of all, how to eat right. I've learned good eating habits and stopped bad eating habits. Now, I don‘t get headaches as often and I don’t get tired so easily, especially when I am studying.

Training at Fitmotion is totally different from working out on my own at the gym. The personal trainers are great! They educate you, and they are there to help you reach your goals and encourage and motivate you.

Before, when I did exercises on my own, it was always tiresome and I ended up with a lot of body aches and no results because I did not know what to do. I was always frustrated.

So far I have lost 15 lbs. and now I can wear my good (and expensive) clothes again!

My advice for others is: be determined, be motivated, listen to your personal trainer and just do what you are supposed to do and everything will fall into place.

I have been yo-yo dieting for the past 16 years on the latest fad to lose weight. I have done weight watchers, 30 day fasts, the master cleanse, and shake & supplements. The problem has been I have never kept the weight off and always gained it back. This time I decided I didn’t want to do the “get thin quick” routine and truly wanted to make a lifestyle change including a good eating plan, cardiovascular & weight training all together to accomplish my goal.

When I found Fitmotion, it appeared to be exactly what I was looking for and after my first visit I knew this is what I needed.

Now after 3 months of training with Fitmotion I have had the success of losing weight the right way and keeping my lean body mass. With my previous experiences, I had lost weight, but I was starving myself all for the sake of the scale. I am an active duty Marine, preparing to retire after 30 years of service. Even though I'm in pretty decent shape just being a Marine, I'm definitely not that young hard-charger that I used to be. Age, injuries, and work responsibilities that leave very little time for physical fitness have really taken a toll. But as I prepared for retirement, I thought it would be wonderful if I retired from the Marine Corps weighing the same as I did when I enlisted in 1982, so I started my personal training at Fitmotion.

I have always gone to the gym and worked out, but I never had a professional showing me the correct way to perform the exercises. Having a personal trainer to show me proper form and technique, as well as having someone that I was accountable to, has made a huge difference in my weight loss experience this time around. That is actually what Fitmotion has helped me with the most.

With four months to reach my goal, I began training three days a week. Initially the scale didn't show any weight loss, so that was a little frustrating. But pretty quickly I noticed that my clothes fit differently...better. People started telling me I looked good, asking me if I was working out, and my energy level just sky-rocketed. So far, I've lost about 12 lbs. and I'm a lot stronger than I used to be. I feel good! My kids even tell me I'm not doing too bad for a 49 year old.

There are times that I may not feel like working out, but once the staff at Fitmotion greets me as I come through the door, my motivation and determination to meet my goal just takes over. My personal trainer is a constant source of encouragement. I don't think he ever has a bad day. He's always prepared, timely, and anxious for me to have a good workout session. The facilities are always neat and clean, and the environment is conducive to one-on-one personal training.

Even though I may not make it to that "skinny-20-year-old frame" that I had back in 1982, I am on the path to a very healthy weight, and a healthy lifestyle. I want to lose about 8 more pounds, and continue to build muscle and have a more toned frame. I feel good. For anyone out there that is considering a personal trainer, Fitmotion is a great place to be. Even if you've failed at weight loss in the past, I guarantee you will see and feel the results, as long as there is a little hard work and dedication on your part. I knew I needed to change something when I got winded just going up a flight of stairs to check on my crying baby. I called around to a few of the local gyms, but when I called Fitmotion, I knew I had found what I was looking for. The facility and the trainers were exactly what I needed.

It’s only been a few short months since I started my personal training program at Fitmotion, but now I actually enjoy my workouts. I’ve lost 40 pounds, I feel great, and I’ve started playing hockey, rock climbing, kayaking and hiking!

The personal trainers at Fitmotion have been great. Congratulations to Clayton on earning our Client of the Month Award!  Clayton has done a great job of making the nutrition and lifestyle changes he needed, even though he works long hours and has a toddler at home.  He is now able to participate in many of the activities he wasn't able to do before.


I first came to Fitmotion to regain upper body strength following a double mastectomy and numerous reconstructive surgeries. I needed an experienced trainer, so I searched the internet for personal trainers who may have worked with other cancer survivors, especially mastectomy survivors. Immediately I found a testimonial by another Fitmotion client who had regained her pre-mastectomy strength and coordination even after her doctors told her that she would never regain her pre-cancer abilities to function. As a result of that testimonial, I have now worked with the personal trainers at Fitmotin in Temecula for nearly two years. And even though I have lost about 30 lbs so far, what I value most is the strength and energy I have regained for dealing with my day to day life with lots of stress. I sleep better, my mood is better and I have more energy to get things done during the day. I can even do pushups! (which I never could do even when I was an adolescent). I am in the best shape of my life!

Committing myself to the personal training program at Fitmotion has changed my life. I don't always do the program perfectly, but the personal trainers there have given me unfailing support and they are an inspiration to me. Although it is still not natural to me to just go exercise, having a standing commitment with my trainer means I have to show up. I often show up late, but at least I show up! And I like working out at Fitmotion because the studio is always clean and private so I never feel intimidated.

We recently had our first grandson, and I knew that this was the incentive I needed to quit smoking and get healthier for our future time together. No matter what I did to prevent the weight gain typical with quitting smoking, my weight continued to rise and I certainly wasn’t getting healthier. I decided to seek out a personal trainer and get some professional help. I found Fitmotion and was impressed by the personal trainers' knowledge, caring and professionalism as well as the range of equipment and variety of exercises.

I thought I was reasonably fit and strong but soon found out whatever I was doing before was not good enough. The trainers at Fitmotion have managed to bring me to a much higher level. I have lost around 20 lbs, multiple inches from my waist and gained a lot more strength. But I think the most important thing is I brought my blood pressure down from just about stage one high and needing medication to normal in less than two months. Every session, we review nutrition and I get suggestions and encouragement every step of the way helping me to meet and exceed my goals. I even get tools to take on the road when I travel or anywhere away from the gym.

I can’t thank Fitmotion enough for this experience and the leap forward in my health. Everyone, including other clients I have met, have been so genuinely supportive. I will continue with my workouts to reach my next fitness goals and will enjoy every minute of the trainers, the facilities and the other clients.

My mother gave me a gift certificate for a week of personal training for Mother’s Day in 2010 and I put off using it for over a year.  After having two children and being married for nine years, I really didn’t think I could ever be fit again.  However, Fitmotion has shown me it is possible.  I have lost over 20 pounds and have significantly improved my posture and overall strength.  I feel great!  While I am not at my goal just yet, I can see that it is within reach…the encouragement and support of my personal trainer has made this all possible!

My biggest challenge was making the commitment to change…I had started and stopped exercise and nutrition programs many times.  Being held accountable was a problem.  Fitmotion has solved this problem and has enabled me to finally be successful.  I need someone to push and guide me and my trainer does a great job in making it a positive and encouraging environment.  Unlike the gym, I love the individual rooms for training and the fact that you don’t need a lot of equipment to get a full-body workout.  I love that many muscles are working all together with every exercise we do…I feel like I get more bang for my buck in 45 minutes compared to the gym.

Based upon a successful athletic career in high school and college, followed by 13 years as a baseball coach, I thought I could control my weight and fitness on pure determination. As I approached 50 years of age, I joined a fitness club and lost 50 pounds over 10 months. Unfortunately, when I stopped working out 6 days a week and taking diet pills, I gained all the weight back.

When those diet pills were subsequently deemed medically life threatening, I tried a regimen that included aerobic and strength workouts at fitness clubs and reading most diet books for a solution. As I look back over the last decade, I had joined five fitness clubs and tried numerous diets, but was still not close to being at my ideal weight and fitness level. Finally I had to admit that I needed a personal trainer.

I scheduled a free fitness assessment at Fitmotion in Temecula, and soon determined that the personal trainers there are knowledgeable and experienced at getting the permanent results I wanted. They emphasized posture and form instead of just adding on heavier weights to my strength training, and even designed my workouts around my previously injured elbow so it would continue to heal. These workouts include core exercises which have dramatically increased my range of motion, strength and endurance. Even my elbow is healthy now.

At Fitmotion, I really enjoy having my workouts focus on the specific results I want. My workouts are challenging and never boring. I like the results of working with a personal trainer that knows what I need and will keep me accountable. I have learned that the combination of my 45 minute workout with a personal trainer, 30 minutes of cardio and tracking my caloric intake will get me healthy and optimize my quality of life.

Over my first nine weeks I lost 20 pounds and have increased my endurance and knowledge. During my cardio workout during week six I ran my first 10-minute mile in over a decade. Two weeks later I ran two miles in 20 minutes. The next week I ran a mile of speed intervals at an 8-minute per mile pace. When I reach my ultimate goal of losing 45 pounds in the next few months, I expect to run a 10k race in under 50 minutes.

I am excited about the next few months of my permanent transformation. And when my wife told me recently that this is the most sensible exercise decision I have ever made, I knew she saw a more healthy future for me too.

I grew up in a family that was constantly battling weight. The latest diets, the latest gimmicks, all were tried and mostly all failed. I was active growing up and didn’t realize until my thirties that I had also joined my family members looking for that magical diet that would bring me back to a reasonable weight. I would lose a few pounds then gain it all back plus a little more. The idea that I would have to continue to diet the rest of my life was overwhelming and it became easier to ignore my weight and just continue to buy larger clothes.

Pretty soon even the simplest tasks became impossible. I couldn’t even walk up a small flight of stairs and the worst thing of all, I hated sitting in an airplane seat.

Now I had “tried exercise”, but never got into a routine. Schedules conflicted with my friends’ and I hated going alone. It was so easy to make excuses. I knew I needed accountability and I also needed someone that would help me look at the big picture and not only push me physically but teach me how to eat healthy as well. Fitness training was always something I wanted to do but never seemed to find the time or money for. I recently had achieved my life goal of finishing my degree and wanted to reward myself with a backpacking trip into the Grand Canyon. At this point I came to the realization that I was way out of shape for this kind of adventure. In the past I had tried gyms and home equipment but they only kept my interest for a short time. I then began to look for a personal trainer as the solution to my problem.

I looked at websites and interviewed several personal trainers on the phone. I then went to Fitmotion for a free lesson and evaluation. Upon meeting Ed and the staff, I realized their program was the one I needed to use. The privacy of each room, the modern equipment, and the individualized attention were just what I needed to get started on my path to a healthy lifestyle.

My trainer really understands my goals and limitations. I have knee problems and back problems that I thought would limit my ability to exercise. My program was completely tailored to work around those limits. This is the real advantage of this program; it’s not a one size fits all approach. My sessions have increased my endurance and started strengthening my muscles. The constant praises for my accomplishments makes me want to keep exercising. It is really great to feel the progress as well as see it. I have never felt more in control of my body than I do today.

As of today I have lost 18 pounds, completely changed my eating habits, sleep better, and feel more energetic than I have in years. At Fitmotion I have learned to do what was impossible for me in the past. I have tried many, MANY times to get into better shape on my own. In fact I have forty years of trial and error under my belt, always trying something new. It just did not work for me. I could not successfully juggle family, work and my health. Health always seemed to come in last.

In addition to the great workouts, the most important thing for me has been the ability to ask my personal trainer and get real answers to all my questions about exercise and nutrition. I am now working out and getting results. In the past I have done workout programs only to get modest results. I would eventually get frustrated with the results and go back to my old ways. I can see the cycle repeated over the years.

At Fitmotion I know the workouts are going to be great and I will be challenged each time. What I have improved upon most is giving my best effort each time. With my personal trainer’s help I have learned that the correct form combined with a good effort will produce the results. I have actually, for the first time, learned to exercise effectively. Every year I would go to the doctor and hear that I needed to lose weight. Every year ... the same story: lose weight. I stopped going to the doctor because I didn't want to hear it anymore. I was fortunate not to have any health issues, but finally I decided that, with diabetes running in my family, I did not want to take the chance as I now tip the scales at 225 lbs.

Knowing that I would not be able to do this on my own I thought of several options: liposuction, lap band, liquid diet, fat farm, boot camp, wire my mouth shut, body wraps, as well as any diet fads that were out. I had joined a boot camp before and ended up with many injuries. Realizing that none of these was really an option for long term success I decided to find a personal trainer.

Having a personal trainer that gives me one-on-one attention as well as exercises specific to my needs and ability was just what I needed. During the last three months, I have lost over 25 lbs!

It's been a lot of hard work, but I'm not stopping now. I will participate in a 5k run, a 1/2 Marathon AND a Full Marathon this year! Who would have thought I could do this? I have not run "on purpose" since the 4th grade.

After putting my family first for many years, I decided it was time to make myself a priority. I started training at Fitmotion two days a week along with two days of cardio at home. My personal training experience at Fitmotion in Temecula has been life changing in so many ways. When I started I was very out of shape and severely overweight. I was really discouraged because I had lost 72 pounds only to gain it all back plus more!

I was ready for something different and needed a new start. When I went to Fitmotion, I knew I had made the right choice immediately. The facility is great. It is small enough to be very personal and yet better equipped than any other gym I have seen. The best thing about the program for me is the varied workouts. The personal trainers don't write a program that you are stuck with for 6-8 weeks doing the same thing over and over. The workouts are different every time so you don't get bored and they incorporate stability, cardio and flexibility training along with strength training so you get a well rounded workout every time.

I also like the real life approach to nutrition. The personal trainers are wonderful. They are supportive and positive. My personal trainer, is not only a wonderful trainer but an inspiration. She pushes me and helps me to achieve things I never would have even tried before. I have even learned that I have a hidden passion for running. That is the last thing I ever thought I would enjoy! Who knows, I may even run a marathon someday!

I have learned I am stronger and more capable thanks to the Fitmotion team. I have lost 40 lbs and have gone from a size 24/26 to a 14/16. I am going to reach my goal this year of 130 pounds and a size 6/8. For the first time since starting on this journey I really know I can make it!

The personal training program at Fitmotion has taught me what I need to know to lose weight and keep it off. I have lost 50 pounds so far and I feel like I am able to do 10 times more than I used to do! I could barely run a 14 minute mile when I started training, but now I can do a 9 1/2 minute mile.

My attitude towards exercise has changed dramatically. I used to avoid working out at all costs. Now, I even sometimes look forward to it. I had never been able to stick to any kind of exercise routine. I always just stopped for no reason. Now, I work out regularly 3 times a week. Whenever I went to the gym on my own, I would do some exercises, get tired and see no results at all. Now, working with my personal trainer at Fitmotion, I workout, get tired, but DO see the results. I think this is because I have learned how to do the exercises properly and with good form.

I’ve also learned that I can do things that I thought I could never do before, and that if I want something and I work hard enough I can achieve it. I did not think losing 45 pounds was possible when I started. But with a healthy diet and enough determination, I was able to work hard and reach my initial goal weight. Now, I would like to lose 10 more pounds and gain some muscle and learn how to stay fit for the rest of my life.

I know that having a personal trainer made all the difference for me. The trainers at Fitmotion are knowledgeable, experienced and know what they are doing. They know hundreds of exercises for each piece of equipment. The workouts are always different and never the same, so I never get bored with the exercises. Without my personal trainer making sure I had good form and did the exercise correctly, I would not have gotten my good results.

I began working out at Fitmotion, which was the first time I have participated in a structured work-out program.  I was rather nervous about starting, but my increasing weight was causing so many negatives in my life that I was at my wit’s end.

Being seriously overweight for the past 8 years, I had resigned myself to the fact that this was just the way I was going to be. The personal trainers here helped me to change my mindset and made me realize that I am, indeed, an athletic man, with great stamina, good discipline and very, very active.

When I started, I had no energy, dangerously high blood pressure, poor cardiovascular health and virtually no flexibility. But it was amazing how quickly that changed.  I found after the first month that my health had changed dramatically. My doctor even removed me from my high blood pressure medication. Those quick results and the superb coaching from the fantastic trainers have encouraged me to push a little harder each week.

I have enjoyed the personal trainers here so much and found them a constant source of support, motivation,  encouragement and know-how. Having had some experience with personal trainers at the larger “chain” gyms, I always believed that it was all about selling training for them with no real dedication to their clients.  The opposite is true at Fitmotion – these people really care about their clients and I’m so happy to now be able to call them friends, as well as mentors and professionals.

Last week I completed my first 5K run and was shocked that I did it, much less finished it. I was never one to set any type of personal goals or really take much of an interest in physical exercise. Today, I can’t get enough of it and I’m so looking forward to continuing to achieve my goals, becoming healthier and happier and achieving a brand new, improved quality of life for myself.

With athlete level cardio fitness, and 45 pounds of weight loss so far, I think I’m well on my way and am looking forward to continuing my personal training and try more new activities.  If you can’t find the motivation to start, don’t worry about it...just do it!  Bring your body and your mind will quickly follow.

When I first started my personal training at Fitmotion, I was in a lot of pain. My husband used to call me several times a day to check on me and see if I was OK. But, my personal trainer stuck with me one step at a time until I felt "human" again. Her patience, guidance and encouragement helped me to get the strength and confidence to start pushing myself.

I used to walk for miles and miles, but never lost a pound. Now, working with a personal trainer, my workouts are always different and I work my whole body. And training in a clean, private studio that doesn't smell like a gym lets me keep focused on my goal.

So far, I’ve lost about 20 pounds and 20 inches and put back on some muscle. I still have a long way to go, but now I feel I'm physically able to get there, and I've discovered there is still a little athlete down deep inside.

Training at Fitmotion has helped me to increase my energy levels, decrease my weight and improve my eating habits. I'm now aware of what I eat, how much I eat, and how much exercise I should be getting.

I’ve lost 20 pounds in 3 months and reduced my blood pressure from 168/100 to 130/94. My energy levels have increased and I fit into clothes I could not wear for the past year. I've learned that I can lose the weight; I just need to stay focused on my goal and be patient. Slow, steady weight loss is the best weight loss. I'm in this for the long haul and I plan on crossing the finish line.

Each year since my breast cancer diagnosis, I have tried to set a goal to do something I have never done before. Last year, I decided to make a very special commitment. It was the Breast Cancer 3-Day 60 mile walk. This was a very important event for me. Thanks to my personal trainer Ed Ferrell, I was in great shape to take on this endeavor. On November 17th, I celebrated not only my ninth year as a cancer survivor, but also knowing that I met my personal goal.

Ed helped me with proper resistance training to ensure my continued rehabilitation from my bilateral mastectomies and build back-up my upper body strength. For the first time in years, I enjoy gardening again. Last year’s home grown tomatoes never tasted sweeter off the vine! Ed continues to provide me both positive feedback and offers of new challenges ahead. I look forward in the near future to playing golf again!

My initial goal with Fitmotion was to work with a personal trainer to tone and in about 2-3 months I thought I would be complete and happy. Not only am I more than happy, but I love the new me! I am 33 with three children and my new measurements are unbelievable!

I just want to thank my personal trainer and Fitmotion for helping me get back into shape for my wedding! Recently I planned a trip to Africa which featured hiking the Kilaminjaro Trail in Tanzania. Little did I know the road ahead of me to prepare for such an adventure.

I started working out at the gym and doing hikes in the local area. It wasn’t long before I realized I needed more intensive training for future big hikes leading up to our Kilaminjaro hike. This is when my personal trainer at Fitmotion, comes in. 

When I began my personal training at Fitmotion, what impressed me so much was the unique training style and custom designed workout plan to help prepare me for the many big hikes I would be doing. The training included strength, endurance, and weight loss. I trained up to the last minute before leaving for Africa. Between the personal training, cardio and hiking, my confidence grew. I was in fantastic shape for a 60 year old about to embark on the biggest physical challenge of my life. 

I made it to the top of Kilaminjaro after 8 grueling days of hiking. 19,300 feet up! What a Feeling! But, I did it with the help of my fantastic personal trainer. He knew exactly what I needed to do to prepare me for the hike. And now that I am home, I’m still training with him, and will continue to do so. He will be a big part of preparing me for future adventures.

Every now and then you find something worth talking about… and I would like to share the good news about Fitmotion in Temecula. After moving to Murrieta less than a year ago, I began to hunt for a personal trainer to help me work out. I was recovering from recent foot surgery and needed to ease into training slowly and work on losing weight.

Working with Ed Ferrell has been great. He is always conscious to make sure I am using correct form and procedure as to not reinjure myself. He has helped me to set up a food journal and continues to give me tools and tips to work on to help in my goal of losing weight. His perseverance and personal touch is quite a motivator.

The personal trainers at Fitmotion are professional, knowledgeable, and help keep the workouts fun. The gym facility is incredibly clean, and some of the special amenities include chilled water bottles, clean gym towels, and a fruit bowl full of fresh apples and oranges for all clients.

Having spent my life as a Fitness, Yoga and Dance Instructor, I never felt like I would benefit from a personal trainer. Two years ago, a hip injury caused me to limit my activities and my fitness level plummeted. I knew that I needed to do something, and was lucky to find Fitmotion in Temecula.

I've been overweight for a while now. My job keeps me in a chair most of the day so I was looking for a way to drop the extra pounds. What I like about Fitmotion is that my personal training was personalized to fit my lifestyle and my individual needs. I found many benefits of personal training with Fitmotion. My goal for joining Fitmotion was to look great for my wedding this summer. After my first personal training session, however, I quickly realized I needed more than just to look great in a dress. I need to get FIT again! I wasn't able to do one real pushup and simple jumping jacks left me winded! Now, after a few months of working with the fantastic team of Fitmotion personal trainers, I can do dozens of pushups, have trimmed inches off my hips and thighs, and am stronger overall than I've ever been.
